LeBron Johnson’s concerts start with a promise: everyone will dance, and that’s exactly what happens.
With a warm, soulful funk voice, charisma, and power, at just 26, he has it all and channels it into his music. He is destined for greatness, and LeBron Johnson has all the talent to make it happen. A true “stage animal” with impressive command of the stage, he’s able to get even the most indifferent audience to dance wildly. After just three years of live shows and one album, he’s making waves across Europe.
His music is a blend of different genres, an original repertoire where neo-soul, funk, rock, and blues converge and blend with the infectious traditional rhythms of Nigeria, his homeland.
In 2023 LeBron Johnson entered the studio with Bologna-based producer Riccardo Rinaldi (known for his work with Neffa, Colle der Fomento, Sud Sound System) to record his first LP under Rinaldi’s supervision and with the Bajun Records label. This marked the creation of ANONYMOUS, the band’s debut album, born from the frontman’s creative compositions and the synergy among band members. Featuring nine tracks—eight originals and a cover of Tom Misch—the album fully captures the growth of both the band and its frontman, nearing full artistic maturity. A blend of genres and influences flows throughout: from blues to nu-soul, with touches of rock, pop, and funk, along with Nigerian music. Each band member contributes to creating a modern, powerful, and captivating sound.
