Italian group MACK’s breakout 2019 debut is an irresistible mash-up of pulsating keyboard textures, intense jazz and funk-inflected rhythms, and consciousness-expanding freestyle rap. Founding members Federico Squassabia (keyboards/bass synth/composition) and Marco Frattini (acoustic and electronic drums/live sampling/composition) are joined in concert by rapper Avex the MC, trombonist Federico Pierantoni, and Mattia “Matta” Dallara on samples.
